messy nessie

I love this homebrew feel nessie shirt from raygunrobyn on etsy. But even MORE interesting is THIS page, a custom shirt on a theme direct for you. I love the idea.

I’m pretty sure that I saw nessie when I was at Loch Ness in 2001. Either that or I made it up and was so convincing that I now beleive it too. It was tiny - like a newt.

kosher comp

Second photo competition of the week people! What’s going on…

win a kosher ham tshirt

The fine people at Kosher Ham have put up a tee to be won. Aswell as the logo above, they have some Obama shirts and joke shirts. The cute pig wins it for me though.

The rules this time are simple. Email a photo of two people wearing the same tshirt to steve@omgtees.com. Either 2 people in the SAME t-shirt, or two people wearing separate tshirts which have the same design. It doesn’t have to be a KosherHam.com shirt.

Best pic wins a tshirt of choice. We’ll chase you for mailing address and size and stuff when you win. Good luck!

shirts by email

A bunch of tees are turning up on blogs and myspaces with ‘email me to buy’ links nearby. I kinda like this. You don’t need a huge website to flog your threads, just a wordpress.com or myspace account. Go people of limited website!! As an example - I’m loving these guys (and not just for the OMG).

splatterbeasts

OK. What’s not to love about the splatterbeasts. I never like purple tees. Until now. Man - I’m in such a fanboy mood this morning!!!

don’t tase me, bro!

Never let it be said that OMGTees is unwilling to leap aboard a fast departing memewagon! Kid gets tased, world laughs and gasps in shock, tee shirts are born. Nice one here, less designey one here.

t fodder - hotornot for t-shirts

t*fodder is a pretty simple concept well executed. Look at a bunch of shirt designs, rate them, and link straight through to the tee company to buy them. Couldn’t be simpler. A nice clear, categorised interface lets you look at ‘yellow shirts’ or ‘geek shirts’ or whatever. Very handy. One to waste a few of those minutes you just don’t know what else to do with. A new site, just a few weeks old, head over and rate some tees - these sites live or die by user interaction.

Ultimate LEGO Tee List

My interest in lego has been rekindled by the latest podbrix release - young Woz and Jobs! Very neat. Some lego tees:
Classic PodBrix
The classic Brix Tee is sold out again, but will return sometime I’m sure.

brix.jpg

ROCK
This is probably my favourite shirt on the list. The details are beautiful - just look at that hand! Joy! Rock on LEGO style. Well done Old Crappy Tee.

rock.jpg

Hairdresser
The lego store does a stack of excellent LEGO geek t-shirts, my favourite is this hair swap shirt. Swapping the hair on a LEGO dude to give him a disguise because he just murdered Barbie was always fun!

Who Dun It
This decapitation tee from NoiseBot is pretty cool. A bloody and gruesome take on the headless LEGO dude theme.

decap.jpg

Zombie
And why would anyone decapitate a LEGO dude you ask? Because they turn into LEGO Zombies. The Tshirt of the 19″ scupture from Dead Zebra. Subtle stuff!

zombie.jpg

One small step
I’m pretty sure I’m missing the joke with this tee - but I kinda like it’s poor photoshopping.

step.jpg

Organised
Another Zazzle shirt, this is more organised than my legos ever got. I like the slight Beavis and Butt head quality to the drawing.

organ.jpg

Star Wars
Personall, I don’t get LEGO star wars. I played star wars with lego - I didn’t need LEGO dudes shaped like Luke and c3PO. Ho hum!

darth.jpg

Headless
Not threadless, headless. This tee from Moji approaches perfect, it is just the mullet of ROCK that keeps this off my #1 spot. Previously reviewed here.

some worthy apple tshirts

Sometimes I just can’t think of a cool post title dripping with SEO goodness. There must be an unused apple pun waiting out there somewhere. Never mind, on with the shirts!

Apples don’t grow on trees you know! From Go Ape Shirts, who are maintaining the high standard - check the beernoculars on that site too!

appletree.jpg

icandy.JPG iCandy - for the iHoney in your life. There’s just one word that comes to mind looking at this design. ’slinky’.

From NaughTee Clothing.

imom.jpgiMom - hopefully if you need one of these, you can still get away with one of those. If not, never mind. Theres always Yoga!

iyum.gif Go all apple retro with the candy colors with this Yum shirt. iMacs should go all candy colored again, they’re just too sophisticated these days. Found here, but you’ll have to hunt to find one you can actually buy.

cube.gif My favourite ever Mac - the G4 cube on a tshirt. Absolute perfection, apart from the melting, the cracking, and the general inability to work reliably. It was like owning an Atari again! This is an absolutely amazingly dull yet great shirt, like wearing a newspaper ad.

iTieDye. Enough said. You have to be pretty sure you like the tieDye look to pull this off, but what a way to stand out in the computer lab!

CHOP SHOP airfix kit of a mac. Who doesn’t wish, just a little bit, that when you order a new powerbook it came in kit form.

Nintendo pixel fun

Blocky pixelated prints are great. Blocky nintendo is great. Blocky Mario is greatest of them all. I feel slightly sorry for sonic, not having a pixelated self of this form. Yet again, Mario wins. Especially cool if you remember playing these things on the big screen, not just on the gameboy. Now available in full 3D excellence.

virtual tees - skullboy

skullboy.jpgYou like the look of this, well then head over here and let them know!

I’m a huge fan of getting pre-orders for a shirt to allow the creator to lavish some quality on the print run without risking his house.

threadless $10 sale : swiss army tank

So did you bag many shirts in the $10 sale? I didn’t, my broadband died!

I love this one though

2 new tees - retro cool & office wars

Two picks from the fresh batch at Threadless today.

I love these stupid little cars - I have no idea why. I think it’s a bit like a coke bottle or a terracotta flower pot - it’s just the right shape and no improvement can be made.

I'm Sure I Used To Fit - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Reprint time with office wars, a classic paper plane carrier shirt. Too military for summer tho? I’m undecided!

shirt printer blogs #1: TeeShirtsRock.com

TeeshirtsRock.com runs a pretty interesting blog alongside their store site. Everything you would want from a good printer blog, previews, invitations for comment, and news about pricing etc…

They also point us at some pretty interesting YouTube content sometimes. All absolutely relevant of course.

tshirt advertising

Running a shirt site, you see a LOT of tshirt promotional material. A lot. Most of the photos are pretty dorky shots of the folded tees, photoshop jobs of a stock shirt and the design, or just a crop of the design pre-printing. Threadless have some of the more imaginitive pics, but they are often pretty random. This promo pic from snorg jumped out as being exactly the shot to promote the tee.

Wins my ‘tshirt ad of the month’ for april!
